Lip Tie Evaluation

A lip tie evaluation considers the tissue connecting the upper lip to the gum and how the lip moves. The clinician will review your concerns and examine your child’s oral anatomy. A visible attachment does not always require treatment, so recommendations should reflect function, symptoms, and the overall clinical assessment.

Tongue Tie Release

When an evaluation indicates that a tongue tie release may help, the clinician explains the procedure, possible benefits, risks, and aftercare. Families can ask questions before deciding how to proceed. Treatment recommendations are based on your child’s individual assessment, and care planning may include coordination with other providers involved in feeding or speech.

Aftercare Guidance

Aftercare guidance helps families understand what to expect following treatment and when to contact the practice with questions. Your child’s clinician will explain care instructions and any recommended follow-up. If feeding or oral function is part of the concern, the care plan may also involve communication with relevant therapists or healthcare providers.
